Statement of Faith

My Christian faith is an important part of who I am and the way I approach the work I do. I believe love, compassion, kindness, and grace should extend to everyone, regardless of their faith, spiritual path, or whether they hold any religious beliefs at all.

I welcome couples from all backgrounds and believe your ceremony should reflect your values and your story—not mine. I will never judge or impose my beliefs on you. Instead, I will listen to what is meaningful to you and thoughtfully incorporate the traditions, beliefs, or spiritual elements you choose.

Whether you want a ceremony centered on God and your Christian faith, a different religious tradition, something spiritual, or no religious elements at all, you will be treated with genuine respect and care.

My faith guides how I serve others; it does not determine what they should believe.

My Christian faith is at the heart of who I am, and I believe we are called to live with love, grace, compassion, and kindness toward one another. I also believe that love and marriage are not privileges reserved for one particular group of people. Every couple deserves the same right to marry the person they love and to have their commitment recognized and celebrated.

I proudly believe in marriage equality and wholeheartedly welcome couples of all genders, sexual orientations, cultures, and backgrounds. I believe an LGBTQ+ couple's commitment to one another is just as deserving of dignity, joy, respect, and celebration as any other couple's.

My faith does not diminish my belief in equality. I can be firmly Christian while also firmly believing that two people who love each other and choose to build a life together deserve the same opportunity to marry.

When I officiate a wedding, I see two people making a profound promise to one another. It is an honor to stand with them, celebrate their love, and help create a ceremony that reflects the commitment they are making.

I believe in my faith, I believe in love, and I believe every couple deserves the freedom to say, “I do.”
